Distilled at the Old Taylor and bottled in 1966, about eight years before the distillery was abandoned, this dusty bottling offers a glimpse into a forgotten corner of the bourbon world. Salvaged by R&R owner Jon Foley from a basement bar in Bloomfield Hills, these drams are a rare taste of quality ancient bourbon. Oily and sweet, rich and creamy and very mild. Although not the most monstrous of pours, there is something quietly beautiful about tasting one of the legendary labels from time past. Just like the holidays offer time for reflection on the year, we hope this sip of lost, ancient whiskey allows you to find a quiet moment, away from all of the noise and distractions. Perhaps by the fire, with some good music playing. This whiskey is long gone, nearly impossible to find and we are fortunate to be able to share it with you. Thank you all for your support. R&R thank you for adventuring through 25 drams. We hope you had a great time. Cheers.
