Released as part of their Single Cask series, this was first distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2018. The release was extremely limited, with only 582 bottles released for the Michigan market exclusively. We received a small allocation and these drams represent some of the last that we have to share. Proofed at 118.4 and finished in a refill sherry butt, this dram (from the most northern of all Scotch distilleries) offers complexity and power all at once. The palate offers candied cherry, blood orange and vanilla pudding. This expands into toffee, tobacco and caramel, with a wisp of richly malted barley. A very rare release and one you’ll likely have a hard time finding. Enjoy.
