Whiskey Advent Calendar – Compass Box ‘Story of the Spaniard’

This blend from the amazing and indescribable folks at Compass Box. Blended whiskies in this dram hail from Deanston, Glendullan, Teaninich, Stratchmill, Highland Park and ‘a distillery near the town of Aberlour.’ Indeed. A good chunk of this whisky has seen aging in either first or second fill sherry butt, along with a bit of heavy char barrel as well. A wonderful scotch for the cigar smoker, or for someone who really appreciates malty richness. First release in 2018, now part of the Compass Box core range.
