Most likely you’ve heard of this one. Big proof (100) and rum barrel finishing combine with loads of rye spice to create one of the world’s great dessert ryes. Typically, 6-7 years old and finished in rum casks for 18 months. The palate is pure molasses, gingerbread and maple. With a 95% rye/5% barley grain bill, one would expect massive spice, but what’s there is wrapped up in all of the barrel sweetness, making this a dessert pour if ever there was one.
